Can I request a variation to the requirements for my program?
Updated 31/10/2022 10.52 AM
If you have deviated from your program structure and/or program requirements and therefore risk not being eligible for graduation, you can either submit a:
Request for Variation to Program Requirements (for variations to more than one course or requirement within your program)
Request for Course Substitution (for variation to a single course within your program).
The program variation web page outlines the reasons a request may be approved or denied. There are some program requirements that are unlikely to be approved as a variation, including capstone course requirements, placement or practicum requirements, and the English Language Enhancement Course.
If your request for variation to program requirements or course substitution is approved, your Official Academic Transcript will include a notation to advise employers you did not complete the published requirements of your degree. Specific details of the notations are available at the program variation web page.
