I've applied for a HELP Loan (HECS, FEE, SA). Why does my account balance say I owe fees?
Updated 21/02/2023 12.08 PM
If you have been approved for a HECS-HELP, FEE-HELP or SA-HELP loan, and you have supplied your Tax File Number (TFN), and your Unique Student Identifier (USI), your unpaid student contribution, tuition fees and/or Student Amenities Fee amount/s will automatically be deferred to the taxation system soon after the census date. You will continue to see these amounts included in your Account Balance until this occurs.
For more information visit paying your fees.
