Credit points are used to provide a guide to: the amount of work a course may involve (one credit point equates to about 15 hours of coursework, including all forms of teaching contact, assessment tasks and private study for an average student) indicate your enrolment load (full-time or part-time) define the requirements for an award of the University quantify recognition of prior learning the amount of work you have successfully completed towards an award of the University. The workload specified by the credit point value of a course applies regardless of the length of the course (year, trimester, intensive teaching period), or the mode of delivery (online, on-campus or blended).
